About this watch face
A sporty digital watch face with a bold customizable two-colour graphic, large italic time digits and segmented indicators around the edge of the dial. Everything is drawn from vector shapes, so it renders at the native resolution of each watch.
TIME
– Large italic digits.
– Time format: watch default, 12h, 12h with leading zero, 24h, or military.
– AM / PM marker, or “24h” in the 24-hour formats.
– Optional seconds.
DATE
– Month and day plus the day of the week, in English.
INDICATORS
– Battery: nine bars, filled from the bottom, with the charge in percent.
– Body Battery: a segmented arc with its value, above a red / orange / green
scale.
– Heart rate: seven segments spread across your personal heart-rate zones,
with the current value.
– Steps: a segmented arc showing progress towards your daily goal, with the
step count.
– Move bar: five segments and a small face whose expression follows how long
you have been inactive.
DATA FIELD
– One field of your choice, with a matching icon: steps, Body Battery, battery
in days, calories, stress, heart rate, altitude, VO2 max, notifications,
sunrise, sunset, distance, floors (total, climbed, descended), resting heart
rate, active minutes (day, week, moderate), week number, recovery time.
– Readings that depend on a sensor or on data the watch has not gathered yet
show two dashes. Readings marked “(if supported)” in the menu stay blank on
watches that cannot provide them.
WEATHER
– Current condition as an icon, with day and night variants, plus the
temperature.
– Weather comes from the Garmin Connect app, so it appears after the watch has
synced at least once. (Not available on watches running Connect IQ 3.2 or older.)
COLOURS
– The two main colour areas of the graphic can each be set from twelve bright
colours.
ALWAYS-ON DISPLAY (AMOLED watches)
– The time and AM / PM marker in grey.
– Optional date and day of the week.
UNITS
– Temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit, or follow the watch setting.
– Distance and altitude in metric or imperial, or follow the watch setting.
SETTINGS
– All settings are in the Garmin Connect phone app: data field, weather on/off,
move bar on/off, seconds on/off, Color A, Color B, time format, temperature
unit, distance unit, and date in always-on mode.
– Watches on Connect IQ 5.0 and newer also have an on-watch settings menu that
writes the same values.
COMPATIBILITY
– Some features depend on the watch. Where a watch lacks the sensor or the API,
that element shows dashes or is left out, and the rest of the layout stays as
designed.
