Privacy policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
This policy explains what data Garmin Face Hub (garminfacehub.com, “we”) collects, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are. We collect as little as possible. We do not sell your data, we show no ads and we do not use tracking cookies or analytics tools from other companies.
Who we are
Inspire Watch s.r.o., Slovakia (the company is being registered; registration number and address will be added here). We are the controller of your personal data. Contact for anything about your data: inspirewatch@gmail.com or our contact form.
Short version
- You can use the whole site without an account, a name or an email.
- To make things like favourites, points and your watch model work, the site saves a few settings in your own browser.
- We ask for your email only when you request a BOGO reward, claim Face of the Month, save your progress (optional), subscribe to the newsletter or write to us.
- Notifications are sent only if you turn them on.
- Questions you type into the AI assistant are answered by Anthropic (the company behind Claude).
1. Visiting the site
Statistics without cookies. We count page views, which pages and watch faces are viewed, clicks to the Connect IQ Store, the website you came from, whether you use a phone or a computer and whether you opened the installed app. To count unique visitors we create a code from your IP address and browser that is scrambled with a key that changes every day; it cannot be turned back into your IP address and it is deleted the next day. We store only daily totals. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address, time and requested page to keep the site secure and running. These logs are kept for a short time according to the provider’s settings. Legal basis: legitimate interest (security).
2. Data saved in your browser
The site uses your browser’s local storage (not cookies) only for features you use. This data stays on your device; most of it is never sent to us.
- Random device ID — a random code (no name, no email) so that games, votes, points and your comments work and each person can vote once.
- Your watch model — to show watch faces that fit your watch.
- Favourites, points, levels and game progress (daily games, quizzes, votes, Beta Lab).
- The name you choose for comments (optional).
- Links to your BOGO requests and the email you used, so the form is filled in next time and you can see your rewards.
- Small settings, for example that you closed the install or notification prompt, or that you installed the app.
- Your chat with the assistant — only for the current visit (session storage), deleted when you close the tab.
This storage is necessary for the features you choose to use, so we do not ask for separate consent. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data. Cookies: visitors get no cookies from us. Only people who log in to the administration (our team) get the login cookies of WordPress.
3. Games, votes, points and Top players
When you play a daily game, the quiz or a duel, vote in Beta Lab or install the app, we store the result with your random device ID, the time and a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address to prevent cheating. From this we calculate points, levels, badges and the Top players list. In the list you appear with the name you used in a comment or as “Player” with a short code. Legal basis: providing the games you use and preventing abuse (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We keep this data as long as the games and rankings run; you can ask us to delete it.
4. Comments, Looks and Beta Lab
When you post a comment, an idea or a bug report, we publish the text, the name you chose (or “Garmin fan”), a short name of your watch model and the time. When you add a Look, we publish your video or photo and the watch face you chose. We store your random device ID with it so you can find “My Looks” and change your name later. Please do not share personal information in public posts. Legal basis: providing the service you use (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Your posts stay public until you or we remove them — write to us and we delete them.
5. Buy one, get one free (BOGO)
For a reward request we collect your email address, the screenshot of your purchase, the watch face you bought and the one you chose, your watch model and a scrambled form of your IP address. We use them to check the purchase, send you the reward and make sure each purchase gets one reward. Legal basis: performing what you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and preventing fraud (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Screenshots and the IP hash are deleted 30 days after we reply. At the same time your email address is replaced by a one-way code, so we can still recognise a repeated claim without keeping your address. The rest of the request is deleted after 24 months. The brand that made the watch face sees the request it needs to approve.
6. Save your progress and Face of the Month
Save your progress (optional). If you choose to save your progress, we store your email address, a one-time code sent to it (valid 15 minutes, stored only as a hash), a scrambled token for each browser you sign in on, the random device ID and the settings saved in your browser (favourites, watch model, played games, links to your rewards, points). We use them only to keep your points and rewards and restore them on another device. Legal basis: performing what you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). You can sign out on a device at any time; your saved progress is kept until you ask us to delete it.
Face of the Month. When you claim the reward we store your email address, the random device ID, the watch face, the month and your points at that time, and we send the code to your email. It also appears in Me → My rewards. We use this to deliver the reward and to make sure each person gets one per month. Legal basis: performing what you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b)) and preventing fraud (Art. 6(1)(f)). Claims are kept for 24 months.
7. Newsletter
If you subscribe, we store your email address and, if you chose one, your watch model. You join the list only after you confirm the link in our email. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe with one click in every email or in Me; we then delete your address from the list.
8. Notifications
If you turn on notifications, your browser gives us an anonymous delivery address. We store it with the topics, your watch model and your random device ID, so you get news that fits your watch and your BOGO status. Notifications are delivered through the push service of your browser’s maker (for example Google, Apple, Mozilla or Microsoft). Legal basis: your consent. We delete the address when you turn notifications off or your browser stops accepting them.
9. Contact form, “Contact us” in Me and “Send to the team”
When you write to us we store your name (optional), email address, topic and message, and we receive it by email. If you send an assistant chat to our team, the conversation is attached. We use it only to reply. Legal basis: answering your request (Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) GDPR). We keep the latest messages on the site only as long as we need them to handle your request, and our email correspondence as long as needed for the matter.
10. AI assistant
The quick answers in Help are built in and send nothing anywhere. If you use “Ask AI”, the text you type (and the last few messages of the chat) is sent to Anthropic PBC (USA), which produces the answer with its Claude model as our service provider. We do not store the chat on our server unless you choose “Send to the team”. According to Anthropic, inputs and outputs are deleted automatically within 30 days, unless they are flagged for breaking its usage policy (then kept up to 2 years) or the law requires longer storage. To prevent abuse we count questions per day using a scrambled code of your IP address. Please do not enter personal information such as order numbers, addresses or codes — for that, send a message to our team. Legal basis: answering your question (Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) GDPR).
11. Who receives data
- Websupport (Slovakia, EU) — hosts the website and its database and sends our emails (codes, confirmations, rewards, replies and the newsletter) as our processor.
- Anthropic PBC — only questions typed into “Ask AI”.
- Browser push services — only if you turn on notifications.
- Brands on the site — only the BOGO requests for their watch faces.
When you click a link to the Garmin Connect IQ Store, KiezelPay, Facebook, Telegram or Reddit, you leave our site and their privacy policies apply. We never sell personal data.
12. Transfers outside the EU
Some providers (for example Anthropic and some push services) are located in the USA. Such transfers take place only with the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision or the EU standard contractual clauses.
13. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable form and withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing before the withdrawal). Write to us and we reply within one month. Because we do not ask for your name, we may need a detail to find your data, for example the email you used or the random device ID shown in your browser. You can also file a complaint with the Slovak data protection authority: Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava, dataprotection.gov.sk.
14. Children
The site is not directed at children under 16. If you are under 16, please do not send us your email address or post photos of yourself.
15. Security
We use an encrypted connection (HTTPS), store screenshots in a protected folder, scramble IP addresses, limit the number of requests and delete data automatically when it is no longer needed.
16. Changes
We update this policy when the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
