About this watch face
A digital watch face with a large custom time font and a Halloween object beside
the time. Everything on the dial is drawn from vector primitives, so it renders
at the native resolution of each watch.
TIME
– Custom bitmap font, one size per screen resolution.
– Each of the five characters (both hour digits, the colon, both minute digits)
takes its own colour, chosen from twelve.
– Time format: watch default, 12h, 12h with leading zero, 24h, or military.
– Optional seconds.
HALLOWEEN OBJECT
– Choose one: spider on a web, witch hat, skull, ghost, pumpkin, or none.
– The spider, skull, ghost and pumpkin blink occasionally.
– On newer watches the object plays a short entrance movement when you raise
your wrist. On watches with a smaller memory budget it sits still instead.
DATA
– Three data slots, each showing one of 22 readings with a matching icon:
steps, calories, distance, heart rate, resting heart rate, Body Battery,
stress, altitude, VO2 max, floors (total, climbed, descended), active minutes
(day, week, moderate), notifications, battery in days, sunrise, sunset,
week number, recovery time.
– All three share one text colour, chosen from the same twelve.
– Readings that depend on a sensor or on data the watch has not gathered yet
show two dashes. Readings the watch cannot provide at all are left out of the
menu and are not drawn.
WEATHER
– Current condition as one of twelve icons, with day and night variants, plus
the temperature.
– Weather comes from the Garmin Connect app, so it appears after the watch has
synced at least once.
– Not available on watches running Connect IQ 3.2 or older; the block is hidden
there rather than shown empty.
INDICATORS (each can be switched off)
– Notification, Bluetooth and alarm markers.
– Move bar with a face that follows how long you have been inactive.
– Day-of-week dots.
– Battery arc.
– Studio logo.
ALWAYS-ON DISPLAY (AMOLED watches)
– Optional date and optional small time in always-on mode.
– These rows do not appear in the settings on MIP watches, which have no
always-on mode.
UNITS
– Temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit, or follow the watch setting.
– Distance in metric or imperial, or follow the watch setting.
SETTINGS
– All settings are in the Garmin Connect phone app.
– Watches on Connect IQ 5.0 and newer also have an on-watch settings menu that
writes the same values.
COMPATIBILITY
– Some features depend on the watch. Where a watch lacks the sensor or the API,
the element is hidden and the rest of the layout stays as designed.
